Carole Isom-Barnes, PhD


Carole has over 25 years of Fortune 500 senior leadership experience, which includes organizational consulting. Carole has previously served on the faculty at Queens University of Charlotte and is a frequent speaker and panelist at academic and professional conferences. She has presented on topics, such as, organizational leadership, social and economic disparities, and race and gender issues.

Carole is the author of Unemployment Disparities: Employee Insight and Personal Perspectives, a publication in collaboration with the Urban League of Central Carolinas, Inc. which examines the social, economic and personal impact of corporate layoffs.

Carole also offers community lectures and seminars on topics, such as, Leading with Emotional Intelligence; Managing Workplace Conflict; Leading, Directing and Planning Your Financial Future; The Power of Money Management; and Changes in Uncertain Times.

Carole has done extensive research on organizational change. She possesses a PhD in Leadership & Change and an M.A. in Organizational Communication. Carole is also Six Sigma certified in process management and improvement. She is a member of the International Leadership Association (ILA), the National Communication Association (NCA) and Women Executives (WE).
